Procedure (55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (20 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Elicit details of graphs from students asking how best to illustrate fluctuations - elicit terminology - axes, plotting points, Draw on WB as items are mentioned. Create no of drinks pm (seasonality / fasting). Ensure students can confidently and accurately read results of graph.
Controlled Practice (20 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Unit 13 Language Focus Pg 65 Q1 = on WB, below table, with whole class work through phrases, placing them in the table according to word category.
Semi-Controlled Practice (15 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice
In pairs, Unit 13, LF, Pg 66, Q3. WC to confirm answers.
