To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of MEMORY
Procedure (33-48 minutes)
SS will be asked to write down three annoying habits and another two good habits which their parents Liked/disliked about them when they were teenagers. Discuss in pairs the habits and check if they have similar ones. Exchange the papers with other groups and match the similar habits.
- SS will take a look at some photos to understand what is the context about. -SS will gist read the question given to them, write down their answers. -In a PW the SS will discuss the question and check if they similar answers. -The second part of Pre-reading task will follow with SS asking each other 'do you think you -have a good memory?' and why? -SS will read some comments, then in PW they will check if they have same memories of the comments.
-SS will do quick reading in pairs for the text to match it with the comments, then checking their answers together, -SS will give the text another gist reading so they can check (T-F) statements. -They will discuss after that some interesting information they found in the text.
-SS will have reading tips related to the MEMORY context, then they will check each with forgetting (F) - Remembering (R) in relation to the tips. comparing their answers after that with each other. The most correct one is the winner.
