To provide clarification, review and practice of regular and irregular verbs in the context of memories
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in asking and answering questions in the context of their life
Procedure (39-50 minutes)
- Put the pictures on the board - Ask them to match the names to the pictures - Give them 3 mnts to talk in pairs about the people in the pictures
- Tell them to find the correct answer in groups - Set them in groups - Give a hand out to each group - Give them a mnt to find the correct answer - Check which group has the most right answers
- Reflect the questions on the board - Ask them whether the questions are in the past tense or present tense and how they know it - Clarify the question word - Clarify the auxiliary - Clarify the main verb - Tell them to make an answer for the question in pairs - Clarify the verb, tense and whether it is regular or irregular - Do the same for the other questions
- Tell them to in pairs write one question to ask their teacher - Answer their questions - Put them in groups to ask the questions from each other - If there is time change groups for more practice
- Put them in groups - Give them the scrambled words to make questions - Tell them to stick the questions on the board - Feed back - Tell them to ask each other the questions and take notes and write a few sentences about group members - Monitor them and help whenever needed - Tell them to read their sentences to the class an do some error correction
- Tell them to think about a party or a wedding in the last 6 months - Hand out the questionnaire to each student - Tell them to read the questions and write their own answers in pairs - Tell them to compare their answers in pairs - Tell them to walk around and ask the questions from other students and write the name of the classmate who gives the same answer - Monitor carefully to do some error correction
