To provide gist and specific information listening practice using a text about Margaret`s thirteenth birthday party in the context of "When I was thirteen years old"

To provide clarification, review and practice of was/were in the context of "when I was thirteenth years old"
Procedure (43-52 minutes)
Show Ss pic-A. Ss discuss in pairs what do they see in the picture? Feedback Elicit the answers.
-Ss listen to the record and decide whether the birthday party was good? and why? -Ss share their ideas with their peers. -Feedback Elicit the answers
-Give the HO-1 -Give Ss time to read the questions.* -Ss listen the dialogue again and answer the questions. Feedback 1st- Peer-checking 2nd- Get students to come on the board and write the answers. *If there is time get Ss to predict the questions first. Then they will check their answers while they will listen.
-Give HO-2. -Students read the sentences from the dialogue and answer the questions. -Write/show the sentences on the board elicit the form and dill the pronunciation.
-Give Ss HO-3. -Ss make questions with "you". Feedback 1st- peer-checking 2nd- Ss come on the board and stick the words in order to make a question. - Ss to use these question and ask them to each other. Model and help if it is necessary. *If there is time give HO4. Ss write the names of five people in their family and ask to their pairs when/where the people were born
-Give Ss HO. Ss use the words and talk each other about their school life when they were thirteenth .Monitor and note the errors to peace of paper. *[Ss won't be taught the adjectives "favorite" "good at" and "Tall". Before the activity, give some examples use these adjectives.If Ss will not understand explain them during the monitoring.] *put Ss in pairs before the activity. However, if they are three people put these Ss in group three. **If there are enough time give extra task=HO. Ss will talk about "how was the Istanbul when they were thirteen.
