To provide process writing practice of a Biography in the context of celebrities.

To provide review of the difference between simple past and present perfect in the context of celebrities biography
Procedure (47-57 minutes)
The teacher introduces the topic through showing some pictures of celebrities and gets students interested by brainstorming some key issues ( teacher and students collect as many ideas as possible on the board).
The teacher directs students to a model and covers a biography as a sample for students. Students read the text and talk about it for 2 minutes in pairs.
The teacher highlights the importance of tenses in writing a biography (simple past, present perfect and simple present). The teacher should explain the organization of paragraphs to students, too.
The teacher puts students in groups of three or four. Students choose a famous person whom they know well and start writing about his or her life.
Peer feedback is provided in class. Students check their classmates' writing for content, grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, etc.
