Ss will fill out a worksheet to list their favorite colors, colors they don't like, clothes they like to wear, things they have, and things they don't have. These will be collected and so the teacher can see what errors may need correcting. Rationale: I am collecting their papers so they will have to practice speaking.
As the students finish their likes and dislikes, they will give those to the teacher. They will receive another worksheet to create an adapted song of their favorites to It's a Wonderful World. The sheet will be shared with everyone at the end of the class.
Instructions: You will share your answers with each other by mingling. Who knows what mingling is? Gesture and mime this action so they understand it. Where do people mingle? (Parties, restaurants, parks, and so on.) After they have mingled with each other, all will sit down. Teacher to share the sheets with a student--they draw them out and read them. The others will guess who each person is.
While the students are mingling to share their likes, dislikes, haves and lacks, I will mark their papers as to correct or not. I will collect problem areas to remark on for the entire class. I will refer to the LA page to help any problem areas.
Share the song sheet if they would like to write a song. I will sing mine as a final praise.
