Description
This lesson shifts the context a little from ageing in general to dressing appropriately and provides the opportunity for Ss to practice the vocabulary/grammar from the previous lessons more freely in speaking. The listening can be used to provide a short model and the statements with also expose Ss to some functional language for agreeing and disagreeing.

Procedure (28-43 minutes)
Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To get students interest in the topic.
Look at the photo.How old do you think these people are? Do you like the way they dressed? Why(not)?
Exposure (8-12 minutes) • To provide Ss with a model for their speaking through listening
Listen to a radio programme where two journalists are talking about 'dressing your age'. Do they agree that men and women should dress their age? Complete their two fashion rules. Work in groups and share your ideas.
Useful language (5-8 minutes) • To highlight useful language
Elicit and drill. Write on the board. You should dress your age. You shouldn't wear torn jeans at school. It's better not to wear mini-skirt if you are in your seventies.
Productive task (12-18 minutes) • To give Ss practice in the target productive skill
