Future plans Ask ss to discuss in pairs about their future plans for 2014. ICQ-Are we writing?No, Are we talking?Yes Elicit from ss and get them to write on WB. Read over the plans and comment on interesting answers with the class. (Teach ss that we use the word resolution when we want to make a promise to improve our life in some way).

On w/b have couple of examples of have more fun, ......... a holiday, get married, ......... a job Ask sts to match the phrase with the verb. Ask sts if they remember: two or more words/phrases that are commonly used...what do we call this?
