Procedure
Stick pictures on the board ask ss if they recognise any of the people in the pictures and if there is a something common between them ask Ss to figure out what is common between the people in the pictures in order to elicit the words fame, fortune and immortality.
T passes out HO.1 Ss read the individually and discuss which one is the beast in pairs.
Ss underline the infinitive and gerund forms in the quotations in groups of three. Once done they checks the other groups’ answers and feedback. Teacher provides answer key. Ss in groups will analyse the infinitive and gerund forms, and try to find one example for each form in the quotations. Ss compare each other’s answers and feedback
