Procedure (37-47 minutes)
SS watch a video about an eco-house in India. In a HO, SS fill in a chart the characteristics of that house. In pairs, SS compare their answers. Then, SS talk about how different their houses are from the one in the video.
SS get a HO with 6 sentences, written in different grammar structures, expressing future situations. SS match the sentences with their meanings, the grammar tenses and their forms. SS compare their answers with a partner. WC FB using the chart projected on the WB.
T displays 2 sets of sentences, taken from the previous task, on the WB to be contrasted (going to Vs pres. cont.[plans] and will Vs going to[predictions]) In pairs, SS analyze the difference in meaning of both sets. T nominates some SS to explain the differences between the sentences. If mispronunciation is noticed, the sentences are drilled. T displays another sentence with "will" to be contrasted with the previous one. SS tell the difference in meaning. T displays a final sentence using the present simple. SS explain how this sentence has a future meaning.
SS get a HO with a dialogue. SS have to choose the correct verbs to complete the dialogue. In groups, SS check their answers. Then, SS discuss and write on the HO, why they chose those verbs. WC FB with the dialogue displayed on the WB.
SS get a HO with a chart to fill in. SS think about how green are their own houses. They fill in the chart with what they're doing, what are their plans and what they can't do in order to have an eco-friendlier house. In groups, SS share their answers. Finally, SS decide who, among the group, has the greenest house (or the best plan to make his/her house greener)
