Main Aims

To provide review and practice of seasons of the year words,days of the week words,month of the year words and words for ordinal numbers. in the context of telling times of the year and dates

Subsidiary Aims

To provide review and practice of Verb phrases with go in the context of telling times of the year and dates.

Procedure (23-32 minutes)

Warmer/lead-in (4-5 minutes) • To set context ,generate interest and engage the Ss

Show the pictures of the seasons. Ask Ss to guess what the pictures are about. Elicit seasons of the year. Elicit each season .

Exposure and highlight (7-9 minutes) • To provide a context for the TI and draw As attention to the Tl

Ask Ss which season comes first. It comes through December, January and February. Which is the second? It comes through. .... Which is the third? It comes through. ....... Which is the fourth? It comes through ....... Do you like to go out in summer?Where do you go?ln which day?

Controlled practice (10-15 minutes) • To concept check and prepare Ss for meaningful practice

InEx1: Chest the hand out and tell the Ss to look at the pictures and read the seasons then match the pictures with the seasons. Demonstrate to Ss Ss check answers in pairs. Give Ss fb.
