Procedure (40-53 minutes)
T asks SS some questions about shopping. T asks who likes shopping.
T projects a picture of a girl shopping on a board. T asks students questions about the picture like "Where is this?" "What is she showing?" "Why?" "What does she want to know?" "What's the question? What does she ask?" "How much is this bag?" SS answer these questions 1 by 1 and we get to the next stage.
T teaches SS the difference between "this" and "these" and "each" by using some realia. T Teaches SS some phrases like these [Seller "Can I help you?"] [Buyer "How much is this shirt?" "What size are these pants?" "Do you have these in another color?" "Can I try it on?" "Can I pay in cash?" "Can I pay by credit card?"]
Divide students in groups. T gives instructions to SS "I will give you some papers, there is 3 questions and 3 answers. You have to match them" T gives out HO to SS. After SS are done, give out the answer key to each SS. (Point out the difference between "this/these" if needed) T gives instructions to SS "Now you will work alone. Here you have some questions and answers. You have to fill in the empty spaces" T gives out the second HO. After SS are done, give out HO with an answer key, but tell SS not to turn the page. T gives instructions to SS "Now look on the other side of the page. Work in your groups and ask each other questions using these words" After SS are done, make a few students come to whiteboard and write some questions they came up with. T gives instructions. "Now you will talk. Imagine one of you is a seller and another one is a buyer. Here are some papers. Buyer only has $20. Seller, look at your Price Guide, it will help you with the prices for your things, but you can use your price." T gives out HO. Monitor in the process, to give feedback about errors at the end.
T writes sentences with errors SS made during exercises and make them correct them.
