Main Aims

To provide clarification and practice of Jobs and places of work in the context of asking and answering about places of work.
To provide practice of language used for Asking and answering about jobs and laces of work. in the context of Jobs

Subsidiary Aims

To provide specific information and detailed listening practice using a text about Jobs and places of work in the context of asking and answering about places of work.
To provide product writing practice of a sentencec in the context of answering questions about places of work.
To provide fluency speaking practice in a short conversation in the context of asking and answering about people's job and their place of work.

Procedure (1-2 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (1-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Clarification • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Setting: “ Go to page 109” 2 times slowly with register “ what are they ?” 2 times slowly with register “ Pictures about food or jobs” “ Now listen and repeat” ** ICQs: read or listen? Write or repeat? DOING: (play track pista 19) (notice pronunciation mistakes and write them) FEEDBACK: (Error correction while writing each phrase on the board and drilling)

Controlled Practice • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

SETTING: “look at D” 2 times slowly with register “ read” “ ask me, I’m a teacher” “What do you do?” to each ss 2 times slowly with register “ Now write” DOING (monitor giving help in spelling)

Free Practice • To provide students with free practice of the target language

SETTING: " you say a " holding a number card "and I say a " holding the question card " and you say the " holding the answer card. "Now say a number .... whispering 2 " " What does he do?"
