Main Aims

To provide Ss with clarification, review and practice of vocabulary clothes in the context of what we wear on particular situations.
Subsidiary Aims

To give Ss practice in speaking for fluency
Procedure (43-54 minutes)
-Welcome the SS to the class and introduce myself to them -Display pictures of Brad Pitt and then the pictore of the girl on OHP and ask them to describe what they see in the pictures -Lead them to think about clothes, and write the vocabulary that they mention on the WB -Ask SS if they know any other vocabulary related to clothes and write it on the WB -Correct any problem with the pronunciation of the new vocabulary
-Display the picture of page 8 Ex. a -Ask SS to match the words and clothes -Write down their correct answer on the WB -At the same time, give SS the correct pronunciation of the new vocabulary -Choral drill and Model trickier items for pronunciation, e.g. sweater -Explain the Ex a, page 151 to SS. Group them and give each group HO of the page 151 Ex a. -Give SS 5-7 minutes to complete the exercise ( GW )
-Display pictures of page 151 Ex a. on OHP -Ask Ss individually about the pictures e.g. what is number 32? -If the answer is wrong, then give another chance to S and then ask other SS for answer -If encounter any problem with pronunciation, correct it by choral drill and model -By doing this exercise SS will do Ex a & c page 151 at the same time
-First show Ss Strange fashion pictures on OHP and ask some of them if they could wear something like this in workplaces or school -Now ask some other Ss what they usually wear in those situations -Ask Ss to work in pairs and ask each other same questions. e.g. What do you usually wear at school/work/party -Monitor them
-If I have more time, give Ss HO of page 8 Ex a ( work in pairs ) -Ask Ss to complete the crossword on the same page -Display the picture of the same page on the OHP with correct answers
