Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Brainstorming will be used to encourage the students to produce ideas about the picture. T. asks the students: What can you see in the picture? A child What is he doing? Jumping Do you think that will be dangerous for him? Yes/ No Why?/. Why not? Ss then work in pairs to discuss their own personal experience.

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Ss are encouraged to work in pairs to match the words to their definition adolescents a sedentary resilience hovering strangulation T. provides the students with the answers.

While-Reading#1 (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

T. gives the learner the text without its title. T. writes three titles on the board, one of them is correct. Ss are encouraged to read quickly and choose the correct title. 1- Do children like playing?. 2- Should I let my child take more risks? 3- Healthy Food. Ss are given one minute to choose. Ss check in pairs T. provides the right answer.(2)

While-Reading#2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Teacher asks learners to close their books. T. tells Ss that they are going to work individually to complete the sentences given by reading the parts of the text on the walls of the classroom. T. displays the text in six parts on the walls of the classroom. Ss are given six questions .Each part has an answer to one of the questions,so Ss need to read the whole text. CCQs: Are you going to read quickly or slowly? Slowly Are we going to move around the class? yes How many sentences are you going to complete? Six Ss check answers with each other T. provides the correct answer.

Post-Reading. (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T. explains what a debate is and gives example. T. divides the class into As and Bs. As will be with the view point of Children Freedom and Bs will adapt the opposite opinion. Ss will be encouraged to defend their view points in the form of a debate. T. demonstrates with one of the students. Ss work in close pairs first. T. monitors. T. asks one of the As and another from the Bs to come in front of the class and perform the debate. T. provides feedback for common mistakes.
