Description

in this lesson students will learn the negative form of the verb b in both the present and the past. the lesson starts with few questions. Teacher will be asking the students what they did the other day, how their evening was, if they went out somewhere..etc. This followed by the first exercise where they will be introduced to the verb b negative form in both past and present. i wil test them, teach them their mistakes, then test again

Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the teacher will be asking the students some questions, using the past form, to let the students answer also in the past, teacher won't do any error correction yet,, this should take few minutes only.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

students will be given the first hand out to test their knowledge about the target language, students will be working alone and then they will be checking their answers together in pairs,

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

teacher will have the students write their answers on the board, teacher will check the mistakes then teach the students their mistake before they get the second test handout

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

after the teach stage finishes, teacher will be given another handout to the students to check if they understand the target language, to test them one more time and to make sure every student understand the target language. for feedback, students will be checking their answers together then teacher will write the answers on the board.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

students will be playing a game where they have to spin the wheel and answering the questions about the verb be.
