T will put Ss into pairs and tell them to complete the modal sentences and find the correct Perfect tenses for each. FB will be checking the answers as a whole class.
T will go through the analysis box with the Ss, while eliciting answers from them. For any misunderstandings, T should refer the Ss to the timeline and write example sentences on the board.
T will proceed to draw the Ss attention to the pictures in the handout (p.55), asking Ss what they think the people are doing and what their achievements are. Ss will then be paired and given time to do the exercise. FB will be T handing out answer sheets for the Ss to check.
Students will be asked to complete the sentences individually, with the T monitoring and helping with the vocab if needed.
Ss will be put into pairs to read their sentences to each other. T should encourage Ss to ask each other more information about their sentences and choose the most interesting one to read to the class.
