The T is going to link the lesson to the previous lesson (listening) in order to remind the ss what they did by asking them: what are you going to do today ? tomorrow? next year ? what are we going to study today ? T elicits to engage the Sts
The T will use the context from the previous lesson may also get a couple of sentences from them on what their future plans/ attentions are.
Based on the use of the context, T is going to show the students a couple of sentences which will include the present continuous tense for future plans.
Based on the previous lesson, the T is going to use a couple of the model sentences from the listening lesson and covers the MFP for the students. T checks to see if Ss understand the meaning of the sentence by using CCQs. For ex: We are going to work for the children there. Is it for now or future ? Future2, is it a plan ?Yes. is it a wish? No. Is it certain that they're going to work for the children there ?Yes. - We are going to work with the children there. - The organization is starting a new project in Guatemala next year.
