Description

In this lesson students will learn some vocabulary regarding feelings and minor medical problem.

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of feelings

Procedure

Lead in (5-8 minutes) • to generate interest in the topic of the lesson

In this stage, teacher will project some pictures depicting the vocbulary students will learn in this lesson. Then, teacher will ask students to tell their partner about the pictures. During this part teacher wil monitor class. Then, teacher will ask them about their feelings and how do they feel today. After this, students will explain their feeling to their partners.

Diagnostic test (8-10 minutes) • to test learners current knowledge of and ability to use the language and identify what the issues are

In this stage, I will give students instructions about HO1. There are 10 sentences on this handout and the target language is underlined. students will read the sentences and they will write wether they know the meaning of the underlined word or not. after this, teacher will ask students to stand up and find a partner who knows the words they do not know and ask her/him to explain the meaning. During this stage teacher will monitor class effectively and will take notes.

Clarifying (10-12 minutes) • To clarify issues learners had with the meaning, pronunciation and form

In this stage, teacher will clarify the target language based on the monitoring during previous stage. Teacher will use illustartions and CCQs to clarify the meaning. Form will be clarified through context. teacher will use modelling and drilling to clarify the meaning.

Second test (12-15 minutes) • to provide controlled written practice focused on using the language accurately and to provide freer oral practice and use language productively

In this stage, teacher will give students second handout. this handout will measure the understanding of meaning and form. During this stage teacher will monitor class and take notes in order to correct students' errors. then students will check their answers with their partner. Finally, answer key will be written on the board. Additionally, students will role play in pairs and ask their partners feelings and will suggest them solutions. then students will find new partners and will practice target language with new partner. to conduct this task, teacher will give students handouts to use the words and ideas on handout as the model. but there is no complete sentences on the handout in order to make students to produce the sentences. Teacher will monitor class during this stage and will give them feedback.
