Procedure (45-59 minutes)
- The teacher will show the students some picture of Picasso and his paintings. - The teacher will ask the students to guess who he is. - The teacher will ask the students " What do you know about Picasso?(things you know about him, and things you think you know but you are not sure.) - The teacher will ask the students to discuss their answers in pairs
- The teacher will provide the students with a vocab-picture matching handout - The teacher will show the students the handout, and ask them to match the pictures to the proper words. - The teacher will check the instructions by asking the students " work alone or with partner?" and " are you going to write or match?" - The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs - The teacher will write the answer key on the board - The teacher will clarify the pronunciation of the new words.(first as a whole class activity and then by asking some random students.) - The teacher will put two pictures on the WB ( picture of a boy and a girl) - The teacher will clarify that A is the girl (Sara) and B is the boy (Mike)
- The teacher will give the students a handout which contains one general question and the students should choose the correct answer. - The teacher will play the audio once and ask the students to choose the best answer - The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs. - The teacher will provide the students with the answer.
- The teacher will provide the students with a handout which contains six specific questions. - The teacher will ask the students to listen carefully this time and answer the questions. - The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs - The teacher will play the audio file one more time to help the students - The teacher will provide the students with the answer key on the WB

- The teacher will ask the students to think of a famous person who is dead and write his/her name on a piece of paper and keep it as a secret. - The teacher will ask the students to stand up walk around the class and ask each other questions in order to find out who the person is. ex. "when was he/she born? when did he/she die? where did he/she live? what did he/she do?" - The teacher will monitor them during the activity and take notes and give them some whole class feed back.
