Procedure (23-45 minutes)
I will show a picture of suitcase on WB and ask them to work in groups and discuss what they usually take when they go for holiday. FB: I will ask a couple of students.
I will hand out a worksheet to Ss and ask them to work in group and match the words with the images on the picture. FB: I will use projector for the picture and ask them to come to WB and match the numbers with their names. I will drill the ones that I think hard to pronounce.
I will put 3 columns on WB Countable/ Uncountable/Plural (C, U, P) and hand out cut-ups and ask them to work in groups and decide which ones are C / U / P. I will make a demo. FB: each group come up to the board and stick their words onto the right column.
I will hand out cutups and ask them to work in pairs to discuss which of the plural words are “usually plural” and which of them are “always plural”. FB: WC
I will give HO, and ask them to fold it. They will work in pairs and answer Q1. FB: Answer key will be provided. Q2: They will work in pairs and answer Q2. FB: Answer key will be provided.
I will hand out an exercise, they will work in group and answer Q1. FB: WC Q2: They will work in group and discuss the rules of usage of the quantifiers. FB: answer key will be provided.
