To provide fluency
Procedure (88-130 minutes)
I will ask the students about their favorite foods. Put pictures of food on the WB and hand out pages that includes names of the foods on the board.
I will ask students to get up and match the pictures with the words. I will ask them to read them out loud and correct pronunciation mistakes.I will ask the students if they 'like certain foods' and if they consume them often. I will ask them to do the same in pairs. Ex: Do you like to eat meat? yes, I like to eat meat. do you eat it often? yes I often eat meat.
Listening practice. I will hand out the sheet. Ask students to listen and describe what drinks they see. I might show pictures and make them say the owrds out loud. I will again pair the students and create a restaurant environment. I will give them the pictures of the foods and drinks but not the written form unless it is necessary. I will ask them to do what is established in the exercise Ex: -I'll have an orange juice -Can I have a cola please? -Do you want a cola -No, I never drink cola - Yes I will have a cola
the students will change pairs. Listen to the exercise and practice pronunciation. 'I'll have a coffee, please' 'Can I have an orange juice please?' I will give students a role play exercise I will be the waiter, they will be in pairs and give an order.
I will correct any mistake they have as I go through the exercise. Ask if they have any questions.
