To provide gist, scan and detailed reading practice using a text about Kill your TV in the context of entertainment
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a discussion in the context of entertainment
Procedure (38-57 minutes)
-The teacher will ask the students if they can remember anything from the listening they have learned or not. -The teacher will ask some random students to get some feedback as a whole class activity.
-The teacher will give e students a handout which contains 5 words and definitions. -The teacher will ask the students to match the words with their definitions individually. -The teacher will ask ICQ to make sure the students understand the activity. "are you going to do it alone, or in pairs?" -The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs. -The teacher will provide the students with the answer key on the WB.
-The teacher will give a handout to the students which contains 1 question "what is this reading about?" -The teacher will give the students only one minute to read the reading quickly and choose the best answer. -The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs. -The teacher will provide the students with the correct answer on the WB.
-The teacher will give the students a handout which contains 5 questions. -The teacher will give the students 3 minutes to read the text and answer the questions individually. -The teacher will ask ICQ to make sure the students understand the instructions "are you going to work in pairs or alone?" -The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs. -The teacher will provide the students with the answer key on the WB.
-The teacher will give the students a handout which contains 4 T/F sentences. -The teacher will give the students 5-8 minutes to read the text and answer the questions individually. -The teacher will will ask the students ICQ to make sure they understand the instructions "are you going to or in pairs or individually?" -The teacher will ask the students to check their answers in pairs. -The teacher will provide the students with the answer key on the WB.
- The teacher will give the students a hand out which contains three questions. - The teacher will ask the students to discuss the questions in their groups. - The teacher will ask the students ICQ to make sure the students are following her instructions. - The teacher will ask the students to change their groups and discuss the same questions again. - The teacher will ask some random students to get some feedback.
