Procedure (36-59 minutes)
Teacher shows some photos which focus on the numbers. Teacher choose one photo and says it has two books and Where does it go? Teacher shows a chart which has numbers and empty boxes and says it goes to the chart which is written 2. Teacher gives the photos of pictures and number sheet and want the students to put the photos under the correct number and say "Do the same thing". Students work in pairs to put the pictures into correct numbers. Afterwards,, teacher asks: There are five what? Teacher elicits plural form of the nouns.
Teacher shows the numbers from 13 to 20 and students repeat. Teacher sticks them to the board. Students repeat again. Teacher shows the difference between numbers like "thirteen and fifteen". Elicit numbers and drill them. Teacher shows the stress. Then she sticks the numbers in tens 30- 40 till 100. Students repeat and teacher shows the stress. Follow same procedure for drilling tens, will act as feedback as well. Use board cards to elicit stress on 24/40, 26/60. 17/70.Teacher teaches twenty-one, twenty-two etc..
Teacher gives a HO and says that they will match the numbers to the words.Teacher gives an example from the HO. Students work individually and then peer check. Teacher gives them the answer keys. Feedback if there is a problem.
Teacher gives the HO from the book Face to face. She asks the students " What do you see in the picture" Teacher gives some minutes to the students to talk about what they see. Then gives another handout for the listening task. Teachers says : Listen and fill in the gaps. she plays recording. Peer-checking. If necessary play the record again. Teacher hands out the recording as a feedback. Students find the answers from the script. And check.
Teacher shows a family photo from the book. Teacher tells students that they will guess the ages. Elicit forms from students: How old is... How old are... they are twenty-one years old. She's ten years old. Write "I think" on the board. Have students guess their ages. Tell correct ages. Produce worksheet. "Do the same". SS work in pairs.
Teacher says that they will play a game "Bingo". Teacher shows the cards to the students and say "cross out the number when I say" Teacher gives an example by crossing out the number and says that who finishes the first will win. She hands out the cards to the whole class and says the numbers.
