Description

In this lesson, students will be guided through different ways to talk about their work life and to use these sentences in real life situation with friends/family or a colleague. Learners will have to pay attention to collocations of i'm a.../ i work in a.... listening mainly conversations about colleagues and or friends at a party and the general idea is to get the students to discuss about their work life.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this lesson, i will start by Introducing the context of the lesson by presenting a picture from English Unlimited Course book p. 16. Students will have to identify and figure out our main aim. In order to expose learners to the general idea of the lesson, i will make work in pairs.

Exposure (3-3 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Gist listening form the work book. Make sure students understand. Repeat if possible

Highlighting (8-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Show them the Collocation (Meaning, Pronunciation and the Form). Working with learners practices saying the sentences in 1a/1b. Check they understand the meaning and check pronunciation as well.

Clarification (8-7 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Get Students to practice in Pairs and make sure they understand and pronounce every word perfectly.

Controlled Practice (6-7 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Teacher gives the learners the opportunity to complete the error task. Activities will be carried out in a group.m

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Get Students to Practice in Pairs and Make sure the understanding and pronounce every word perfectly

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

In This lesson, for the final stage, i will integrate an activity( like a conference, where the act and share short stories about their work). This activity will further improve and refresh the atmosphere, because mostly students are generally tired from sitting for long hours.
