Main Aim: To present and practice possessive adjectives to talk about relationships.

Sub Aim: To review and practice vocabulary to describe relationships eg brother' husband/listening and speaking
Procedure (41-55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Showing the pictures from p.15 introducing Omar family and giving the vocabulary, that they will need during the listening.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
Doing the listening
Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
Writing the vocabulary on the board
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • Elicit the difference between his/her
Students practice in pairs using the first 2 photos on page 15.
Controlled Practice (6-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Carry on with Exercise No. 3 on p.15 in pairs
Semi-Controlled Practice (6-8 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice
Get learners to compare their ideas with other pairs. If some of them, have family photos on their phones, they can present them to others.
Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
To write down their own family relationship by using the new vocabulary.
