To introduce and practice the singular form of 'to be' in yes/no questions and short answers in the context of personal information.
Subsidiary Aims

To be able to create and respond to yes no questions producing grammatically correct sentences.
Procedure (43-55 minutes)
I will stick some papers with a first sentence that students will need to rearrange. Others sentences have some gaps in for students to say what are the words we need to complete the sentences. e.g.____ ____ ____ teacher?.
I will handout some cards with basic information. The students will work in pairs and will ask questions to one another and provide answers to those questions.
To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
Students will work on ex. 9 in pairs
To concept check further and prepare students for free practice
To provide students with free practice of the target language
