To provide clarification of expressions and phrasal verbs with take in the context of risks.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation and interview in the context of risks using and practicing the TL ( which is expressions and phrasal verbs with take).
Procedure (41-54 minutes)
I will write these three sentences on the board before the lesson: 1. We have to take out insurance when you travel. 2. Taking risk is just sensational-seeking. 3. We need to take the risks involved in driving very seriously. Then, I will ask the Ss to work in pairs, read the sentences and discuss whether they agree with them or not. Then I elicit some answers.
I will underline take out insurance, taking risks and take .. very seriously and tell Ss, in pairs talk and think about the meaning of take in these sentences and come up with all the expressions they know with take. Then I will tell the Ss that today's TL and main focus is expressions and phrasal verbs with take. (I will explain the word expression and phrasal verb if needed) Then I elicit some expression if there is any and put them on the WB and answer question if needed. I will monitor as Ss are doing this PW and make sure if they are on the right task.
There will be a matching activity Ss will be given HO1,Ss will be told not to unfold their papers and in pairs again, they should match the sentences with the different meaning of take. The answer key will be on board but if any pair finishes earlier, I will ask them specifically to come to the WB and with their answer and then check with other Ss if they all agree. Then, I will answer questions if they have any. Then I will ask the CCQs (which are in the LA.) Answer key: 1.A 2.H 3.C 4.D 5.F 6.I 7.G 8.E 9.B Once there is no question, I will drill some of the sentences in HO1.
I will regroup the Ss and tell them to unfold their papers and complete the sentences with suitable words. While they are working on this activity in their group I will monitor to see if everything is alright and if any of the new vocabulary needs extra and further explanation or not. When they are done with completing the sentences I will give them the answer key. I will check if there is any question.
I will tell the Ss that they are going to interview at least three other people in the class. They cannot interview people from their on group. Then I tell them to stand up mingle and take some notes because afterwards they are going to tell their group mates about the answers of the people who they interviewed. I will try my best to monitor attentively and take some notes on Ss' errors. Once they are done they will sit back in their groups again and tell their partner about the information they got. I will monitor to take notes on their mistakes again and find out the interesting information to be elicited in FB. I will elicit the enthusiastic information. I will write the wrong sentences from my notes on the board and ask the Ss to correct them as delayed correction. I will tell them that they did well and tell them well done.
If there is more time and all the Ss finish their previous activities earlier than my plan and assumption, I will show them HO2 and ask them to to this gap fill activity from their WB. Once they are done i will have one of the S on the board to write the answers and check with the WC.
