Procedure (70 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Play "broken telephone" The meeting is tomorrow at 2pm in Tuhami's office. Mr Andrews arrives on Friday afternoon at 4pm. Congratulations on completing the Keating deal. What is Mary's annual salary?
Telephone Etiquette (15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
Elicit group thoughts and experiences on telephoning Discuss telephone etiquette.
Listening #1 (5 minutes) • To provide students with predictive phrases for arranging meetings
