Main Aims

To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a in conversations, both telephonic and face to face when using phrases for permission, necessity and prohibition in the banking sector.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide review and practice of language used when telephoning plus telephone etiquette.
Procedure (45 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Block vocab: minimum / maximum overdraft / overdraft facility access balance transaction interest rate statements
Task Setting & Planning (10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Create pairs - identify Caller A's and Caller B's A to read Pg 115 B to read Pg 123 to familiarise terms and conditions.
Productive Task(s) (15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Each student to practice at being Caller A and B
Feedback (10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
