To provide gist and specific information listening practice using a text about food in the context of fuuny stories
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
: SS will watch an episode of MR BEAN and tell each other what happened in that episode. What was the funny part?
SS will look at the picture on page 90. And the new words on part A guess the story: Elicit their answers and write them on the board. SS will listen with closed book and check their guesses
2- Again SS will listen and read and answer how Olivia responds to the conversation. 3- SS will discover the responding strategy and its usage. Give SS example and Elicit SS some examples. WRITE the strategies on the board and talk about how we can react to others' conversations.
4- SS will do part d. and then SS will guess the responding in the listening part in their group, then listen and check. Drill. Say the conversation together. SS will do part 3. Activation: SS will think 2 min about a funny story that happened to them and take note, then they will tell the story and others will respond. Then the best story will be chosen by SS.
