Procedure (45-55 minutes)
The instructor provides the learners with writing some questions in order to sharpen their backgrounds in that the questions go around with weekend.The things people do on weekends are highlighted besides the difference in cultures will be alluded. they do it in their groups and once they finish ,they will compare their lists with other students.
In this stage the students are supposed to write about their own holidays.they start writing some sentences about what they did last weekend.It should be done in pairs.After checking their lists on their groups,they talk about their partners for the whole class.
The learners listen to a listening task in order to grasp the gist,then in their pairs , they start to review the information about the listening .they try to tell story in order to have a general understanding about the task.
After listening for gist and making them talk about their understanding of the whole story,now looking for specific information is the target of this listening task.they listen and look for the specific question,then a short time is given to check their answers in their groups
In this stage,by showing some sentences,they will learn about sentence stress.It is done by elicitation ,then by showing the answer ,it will be understood. I write a sentence related to the topic on the board ,then they try to guess the places of the stress in the sentence .After that they are provided with the main pattern in the booik
The learners are asked to use Wh questions to ask and answer about their last weekends.I will monitor them to check if they are using the correct form related to the context.
