Procedure (41-48 minutes)
Show picture's related to an Indian Wedding and elicit the context for the lesson . What type of celebration is this? What does the woman have on her hands? her finger? Who are the people? How do they look? Ask about Wedding's they have been to in the past. What was it like.
Elicit the following words: Wedding ceremony, bride, groom and wedding anniversary. After eliciting the meaning, Ask CCQ's (per LA Sheet), write on board and mark the stress. Drill briefly.
T to give H/O's to students. T to prepare Sts for the listening task by telling them they are going to listen to the groom, Rajeet talk about his wedding anniversary. T to play audio and ask Sts to listen for the answers to the 4c exercise. T to play audio one more time for students to check their answers.
T to play audio again for exercise 4d and ask students to listen and answer these questions. T to play one more time. T to get Sts to ask each other the questions from this exercise in PW and answer them.
T to hive students H/O with Exercise 7 and ask students to choose the correct word..Sts to check the answers with their partner. T to get students to work in pairs to ask and answer the questions.
Students to work in pairs with new partners. Students to fill in the gaps with was were for a party for student A and a wedding for student B. Sts to then work with their partner and ask their questions from their fill in the gaps exercise about the last wedding and party they went to. Students to make notes of his/her partners answers. Students to work with another partner and tell them about their party/wedding.
