Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Teacher walks into clasroom and starts a discussion about health. "Do you always eat breakfast before you leave home or you skip it? In pairs, disscuss why breakfast is important.Find 1-2 reasons"
In this part, teacher lets ss find some words or numbers from the text and writes them on the board. It urges ss to use these words through out the discussion. This may also help ss to comprehend the text better.
SS are given a sheet that is about scanning the text for the gist of the text.
SS are given a sheet that has comprehension questions.
Teacher lets ss prepare 3-4 sentences about the text (ss may use the words on the wb). This text is about the importance of breakfast. Then, teacher lets them talk for a few minutes about them.
