To provide clarification of Places in the context of Places

Procedure (45-55 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T will start the lesson by asking: "Who loves to travel around the world?" and then asks another question: "Have you traveled outside Turkey before?", "What do you think of these places?" and the T asks one more question "Do you wish to live and work outside Turkey?" Then the T will give the SS an exercise to solve (EX.1)

Gist Reading (10-12 minutes) • To make the SS get the main idea of the text

The T shows to the SS a paper (HO-1) and says: "Right now,you will work in groups and you have 1 minute to read this text and I want you to match these words with the text" The T writes the words on the board ( 1- At home 2- at the mall 3- at the park 4- in the square) After finishing the exercise the T will take the feedback from WC by asking each group about their answers.

While-Reading (Detailed reading) (10-12 minutes) • To make the SS read in details

The T regroup the class and move some SS places. Then the T says: "Now, I want from you to read the text again (The T shows the text to the S again) and I want you fill the gaps in the text with these phrases ( The T shows the phrases to the SS) Then after the SS finish the exercise the T will take FB from SS by making the SS to read his/her answers and the rest of the class will see if they got the same answers.

Vocabulary (14-16 minutes) • To make the SS strong in vocab and build their vocab

The T says to the SS: "I want from you now to read the text again (T shows the text to the SS) and then you will fill these gaps from the verbs in the text (T shows the HO-2)"

Speaking (If there is time) (8-10 minutes) • To make the SS practice more about speaking

The T asks the SS: "I want you right now to talk to your partner and ask him about: 1- What places he like? 2- Where he wish to go? 3- Are he planning to live and work in other country?" Then the T will get FB from the SS (WCFB)
