Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide review, clarification and practice of daily routines in the context of actions
Procedure (6-40 minutes)
The warm up will begin with the game "simon says" to activate their schemata and prepare their background knowledge.
They will then play "bingo" to go over the actions and routines they have learned. Each student will get a card and they will cancel the routine that is called out to cross over. There will also be drilling on each routine.
They will recycle what they have learned and apply it on the 3rd person singular via using the speech flashcards.
A task will be given to them where they will have to look at some pictures regarding daily routines and will match the sentences with the correct picture.
The same pictures will be used for the game "board rush" where they will do a couple of runs to get used to the TL then on the last run, they will take the flashcard they won and will write a sentence about it then say it out loud.
They will go around the classroom to find their assigned envelope that has chunks of information inside (time, action, name of the person, etc. ) they will also be given a form where they will have to write down the correct information in the appropriate place to build a profile.
