Description

In this lesson students are going to learn about past simple and they become familiar with irregular and regular verb. At first I am going to warm up for minutes and I'm going to describe what I'm going to do at second I ask some question about their past event after that I work on some verbs and talk about differences and I'm going to work on some questions which they should work in pairs at the end I'm going to play a game with them to make a story

  • speaking about past event and making a story

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (0-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage and intreste students

I'm going to tell them what will happen for example I tell them [ if you can answer my question correctly I will give you a chocolate ] and tell them [ we will having fun together ]

ICQ-(4minute) (0-4 minutes) • To get their information about the lesson

After warm up I will say [ let's start with simple past ] and ask them [ what do you know about simple past? ] and then I make sure that they understand what I want talk about for example [ what I'm going to teach you? ] and also ask a question about a thing that I mention in warm up [ if you answer my questions what I'm going to give you?]

Highlighting (3-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Ask them to work in pairs and answer some question that I write on the board

Clarification (0-4 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form of the target language

With some practice I will correct their mistakes. There are two practice about simple past . In the first one I will help them to complete the sentences and ask them some CCQs [ is this irregular or regular verb?] I ask this question several times. In the second one I ask them to answer the questions and check them in pairs

Free Practice (0-5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I want them to draw some picture on the board and ask them to make a funny story in two group and also tell them the winner is a group it makes me laugh a lot and give them reward
