Procedure (40-48 minutes)
Spot the Difference Activity: 2 photos of living rooms where students will find look for the differences individually. Differences are: LAMP, RADIO, 1 CHAIR, 2 TABLES, 2 CARPETS
Pictures will be shown on the w/b. Teacher and Students will talk about the pictures being the same or different. (Different) Teacher will get the students to say 1 difference and get the students to describe each object. TEACHER POINTS TO DIFFERNT OBJECTS AND ASKS STUDNETS WHATIT IS TO MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WHAT EACH OF THE NAMES ARE; - EXAMPLE "WHAT IS THIS" "THIS IS A TABLE"
Write sentences: As fill in the gap so students will fill in the prepositions and "there is" and "there are" Write Picture 1 sentences on the w/b. Give them labels. Ask students to come to w/b and stick the label where they think the word goes in the sentence Picture 2 sentences will be given to them as a fill in the gap worksheet activity
Dictation Game: Part 1: Modeling- Teacher will model the exercise with the kids. 1) Teacher will put a picture of a living room on one side of the classroom (on table) 2) teacher will give the instructions-"Listen and Draw" 3) Teacher will go to the picture then select one furniture, then come back to the front of the classroom and tell them. "There is a table in the room" 4) Students will draw it on there papers (individual work) - Teacher will monitor 5)Teacher does it again so they understand- "There are 2 chairs in the the room" 6) After, go to the picture on the over side of the room. Stay there. Elicit the the sentences from the students. Students will say "there is a table in the room" - Teacher will say Yes or no. 7) Then Teacher will show the original picture on the W/B 8) Ask students to see if it is the same ? 9) PUT students in to groups of 2. 10) Monitor students doing the activity
From the Productive task. Students will do feedback themselves by looking at the pictures and describing the picture to there partner by asking questions to see how accurate the drawings are. - Feedback to see if the picture are right or wrong. Error corrections will be made if there is error correction spotted from the speaking.
