Main Aims

To provide gist reading practice using a text about Appearance in the context of Body parts,small,big, tall,short !

Subsidiary Aims

Speaking,writing if possible.

Procedure (35-45 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Put a picture on WB of Berna and Banu. try to elicit some of the words they were introduced to in the previous lessons.

Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Group them into two,as upon the number of students attending . Choose one student from each group to come to the board and draw what their teams ask them to.

Practice 2 (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Give out a handout to fill in the gaps . Will pair them as upon count

Reading activity (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

As upon what has been practiced,will give handout for reading activity.

Production (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Write on board instruction of how to write 2 or 3 sentences about classmate's appearance. Ask them to share what they wrote after . If there's time,talk to each other in pairs about a third classmate,he's got,she's got..
