Procedure (25-43 minutes)
- Ask Ss to answer the guestion as a whole class When we start our education Where do we go first? - Show some pictures of different schools for Ss and ask Ss to answer these questions What are they? What kind of schoos are they? - Elicit the answers from the Ss and write them on the WB
- Before the listening, I try to explain some vocab on the WB and follow the MFP - to found (v) - institution (n) - Distance learning (n) - Use CCQs
- Ask Ss to follow the instructions while grouping them according to the number 1,2,3,4 - Ask Ss to find their partners by numbers. - Show SS how to complete the first example by myself and then ask them to listen to the recording then to complete the rest of it, Ex 1-2 - Ask Ss to compare with their partners - Elicit the answers from pairs
- Explain Ss what to do with the HOs and ask Ss to look at the different types of schools on the HOs. Vocab Ex.1 (pg-70) -Ask Ss to put the schools in the order you go to /attend them individually and then ask Ss to compare their answers with partners who have the same coloured papers with them - Elicit the answers from students as a pair - -
- Group Ss to get into pairs by giving them different coloured HOs and ask Ss to match the places with the descriptions. -Ask Ss to compare the answers with your partners - Elicit the answers from Ss
- Ask Ss to work individually to do the task - Ask Ss to complete the table with the schools in the box and tell Ss that there are two schools they don`t nee to use -After that ask Ss to compare their answers with partners -Elicit the answers from each pair
- Tell Ss to try to answer the questions individually and then ask Ss to discuss the questions with their partners -If the time allows,I will give them extra task.
