Procedure (37-50 minutes)
Check the projector and materials to be ready. Ask Ss how they feel today. Project the slideshow and ask Ss to say what they see on the PPT. Try to elicit "daily routine" Ask CCQs about daily routine. Do I get up every day? Do I sleep every day? Do we do our daily routine every day?
Explain Ss the task. Tell Ss that they will match pictures with phrases with their partners. Give handouts and let ss do the task. Ask Ss to stand up and check other pairs' work. Nominate Ss to stick the phrases on the board. Let all Ss to check their answers by looking at the slideshow. Ask Ss to repeat all these phrases Phrases: Get up, go to bed, leave home, get home, start work, finish work, have breakfast, have lunch, have dinner, sleep
Ask Ss to look at the PPT Elicit these times of day: "Morning, afternoon, evening, night" by looking at the PPT. Ask Ss to pick up a paper. Then form the groups according to the paper's colors. There will be three groups. Tell Ss that they will match the phrases with times of day. Give the HOs Nominate Ss to stick the phrases on the board. Let all Ss to check their answers by looking at the slideshow.
Play the audio and ask Ss to practise. Then model and drill all phrases. Use balloons to ask some ss to repeat. Students will choose the colour of their balloon.
Explain the task to Ss by modelling. Tell Ss that they will find the things they do at the same time. They will ask questions with the phrases they have just learnt. They will write the time both for themselves and their partners on the HOs Pass out the HOs Give 5 mins. Then nominate some Ss to tell what they do at the same time.
Ask Ss to focus on the PPT Make sure that Ss know these words. Check Ss with CCQs Words: University, midday, midnight, before, after, about Explain the task. Tell Ss that they will fill in the gaps with the correct times in Carol's text by looking at the clocks. Give 4 mins. Ask Ss to check their answers with their pairs. Tell Ss that they will find the answer key under their chairs.
