In this lesson students will be listening to short conversations and finding words, information and short sentences.

To provide gist and specific information listening practice using a text about A reporter interviews 6 people that are going on holiday in the context of Travel

Procedure (45-45 minutes)

Lead-In (2-2 minutes) • To set the context of the lesson

Welcome students Introduce topic The title is: What are you most looking forward to on your holiday? Describe what will happen in the lesson. We will be listening to 6 recordings: These are interviews between a reporter and 6 different people who are going on holiday.

Give HO • This HO will be the students answer sheet

A radio reporter at an airport has asked 6 people going on holiday. What are you most looking forward to on your holiday? We will listen to the 6 recordings, one after the other. Use the Ho given to write down your answers PLEASE WORK MY YOURSELVES FOR THIS PART OF THE TASK What will you be looking for? Firstly, is the person being interviewed male or female Then who says he following words or sentences The football The weather The nightlife Romantic walks along the beach The shopping The Beautiful women Then also look for: Where are they going? And, How long are they staying? Please note your answers

We are going to listen again to the same interviews, but this time we are for specific sentences. Task 2. In which interviews are the following sentences spoken: • There won’t be much time to do anything else. • That’s definitely going to be the highlight of the four days. • We’re planning to visit everyone. • It looks like it’s going to be wet and cold here. • We’re going to spend all of it. • We’ll have plenty of time to catch up on our sleep when we get back home. please note on the answer sheet the number on the interview. we are going to work in pairs This time i will not be stopping the recordings, so please pay special attention to listening for those sentences. once the records mare over there will be a few minutes to check with your partner.
