Procedure (39-51 minutes)
T shows pictures on the WB and asks students to write the suitable adjective next each picture.Later, T shows SS two emails from previous exercises and asks students to give the missing information about the people in the emails.
T shoes exercise 11 from page 23 in SB on WB and reminds SS of the use of the Yes/No questions and short answers.
-Highlight the inverted word order in yes/no questions with be : Am I.....?, Are you....?, İs he....? -Point out that we don't usually answer these questions with Yes,or No, as this can sound impolite. -Note that we don't use contractions in positive short answers: Yes, you're. -Point out that we also say : No,you're not. No,he's not. -T gives hand-outs to SS to do the exercise. -T asks some students to write the correct answers on the board.
-Play the recording R3.4. -Check the SS pronounce the contractions correctly. -Pause after each question for SS to repeat .
T puts SS into new pairs student A and student B.Next T shows on the board exercise 13 on page 88 from SB. Then before giving the hand-outs, T gives instructions on how to do the exercise. SS circle the correct answers on the hand-outs, then after checking the answers they work in pairs, As ask Bs the questions and Bs answer them from their hand-outT-S.Then Bs ask the questions and As answer them from thier hand-out.
-Put SS into pairs ,A and B then show on WB exercise 3A where are they? on page 118 TB . - -Explain instructions and practice with SS how to make questions about.Country, age, job, married, where now, in a new hotel, rooms very big, and restaurants cheap. - Give each student a copy of the appropriate worksheet . -SS work with their partners and take turns to ask questions about the four couples . -Remind students to use correct short answers .
