Procedure (36-54 minutes)
T will the ask if ss know or have watched the movie Titanic. Then T will elicit the story line from the students.
T will teach ss vocabulary with the use of eliciting and demonstrations. E.g of such words/phrases are: to be in love, to get angry, to go out together, passionate, spend the night together/ stay with, get married,love affair, never forget someone. T will also practice word stress from this word examples with ss.
T will show pictures of the main character from the Titanic movie and inquire about their names. T will put the pictures together to elicit positive and negative sentences from the SS. For example: Jack loves her. Rose’s Mother doesn’t like Jack.
T will practice with students the exercise C in the student book, which is about subject and object pronouns. T will hand out exercises to the students and make them check their understanding of object pronouns and later confirm it with an answer key.
T will first elicit actors/ actresses names from the SS and then demonstrate with a student how to practice questions and answer with object pronouns and to speak more about the celebrities with the same focus. E.g Question: What do you think of Will Smith? Answer: I like him. He is a very good actor. And then T will make SS work in pairs and take turns doing this speaking activity.
T will cut pictures from the students work book on page 36 and give SS to arrange them according to the other of occurrence. Then, T will make them tell the story using all the vocabulary they have learnt in the lesson focusing on object pronouns.
