Procedure (45-45 minutes)
T shows two similar pictures with some differences and asks Ss to find the differences.Ss work in pairs:look at pictures and discuss what and where the differences are.Ss feed back to the class.
T reads aloud a description about the different rooms in a house and asks the students to guess what the rooms are,(Kitchen,bedroom,living-room),emphasizing the target language while reading(prepositions).Ss work individually then in pairs then Wc.
-T uses realia to introduce the target language (prepositions of place) by bringing a ball and a box then elicits from the students the answers to the question :where`s the ball? Ss should answer:the ball is in the box,on the box,under the box,behind the box,in front of the box and close to the box.T writes each example sentence on WB as a record if the words are unknown. T gives HO of Robert`s bedroom to the students then elicits vocabulary that comes up in the tasks : T asks Ss whether Robert likes sport or not. Ss answer :yes T :how do we know that? (because there is a football.) Where is it?(on the floor) There is a football on the floor. T clarifies meaning,form (floor) then drills pronunciation. we have a wooden floor in the classroom. T :Does Robert like running?yes T:how do we know that?(because there are trainers)Ss recall or learn the selected words. T:Where are his car keys? in the drawer.
T gives HO of ex.8 to the students.Ss work individually then in pairs then WC.
T hands out ex.3 on the same page of Robert`s room.Ss work in pairs then each pair feedback To Wc
T gives three minutes for the students to prepare a few sentences to describe their house in pairs then each student will have a minute to talk. T monitors and elicits delayed error correction.
