Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Play Simon says, using words as hit, sit, mitt, kit in the orders.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
Read the words with the students, to clarify them, then read "The Kit". Have them ti understand most of the words.
Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
Words to work with: it, fit, bit, hit, kit, lit, pit, sit, wit, mitt
Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Ask the students to write the words on their notebooks. Ask them one to one the meaning of some of the words to check if they remember
Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
Check students work for misspelings. Ask them to help you reading Out Loud
