Procedure (44-49 minutes)
Draw a target on the board. Ss make paper planes. Ask a question from the listening in the previous lesson, the first student to answer correctly can throw their plane at the target. Keep a score. Chocolate bar to the winner. Reminds students of the previous lesson
Ss work in pairs to complete the picture crossword using a list of the words in the wrong order. They match the name of the food to the picture and put it into the correct boxes in the crossword. Monitor for help needed. Every other Ss moves round a seat to peer check the answers. Feedback - Students come up to the answer key on the wall to check their answers
In pairs Ss read the sentences and put the words in the right order. Do the first one as a demonstration. Monitor for help needed. Ss come and write the sentences on the board. Does everyone agree? Yes or No
Clarify vocabulary not known eg Starter, Main Course. Model and drill. Ss use the vocabulary learnt earlier to write their own menu. Think of a name for your restaurant. What food do you like? Pizza? What do you use to make Pizza = ingredients (CCQ ingredients) Put a price on the menu. Monitor for any extra vocabulary help needed. Ss read their menus to the other students.
Would students go to that restaurant? What do Ss think of the menu, the price? Feedback and error correct any pronunciation errors
