Procedure (45-55 minutes)
T shows a picture (PPP) T asks " what do you see in this picture? "Do you think they are a couple? "If so what is their problem? " "Can you name two things that can help a marriage or a relationship to be successful? FB WC
T puts the papers on the W/B. T asks " what do you think these are? " Elicit "advices" T tell Ss to listen to the radio program and put these advices in order. ICQs here.> what are we listening for? Ss peer-check FB>Ss go and take their answers ( chocolate bar) T tells Ss to listen again (this time for finding the reasons for his advice.)and complete the sentences. ICQs here. T gives HOs Ss Peer-check FB > PPP on W/B
T puts sentences from the listening. T points the highlighted expressions "beause, since ,as, because of,due to" and asks " what is the common thing about these expressions? " Do we use them to say the result of sth ? No. why do we use them then? to say the reason of sth. ( check the meaning) T points "so , so that" in the 6th and 7th sentences. . T asks " Why" to the questions T elicits in 6, so gives result and ,in 7 so that gives a purpose. (checking the meaning) "which are followed by nouns?" "Which are followed by subject+verb?" (checking the from)
T introduce the task T tells Ss to explain how to do sth they know about . T gives some examples (PPP) T tells ss to think about the lang. they need to use : "give advice" and "give reasons for your advice" Ss prepare themselves. T monitors and helps ıf needed. Ss talks in groups. T monitors and take notes for delayed error correction. FB> Ss change groups and tell what they learnt.
T nominates Ss and aks what they have learnt from their friends and which one they liked the most. T writes some sentences on the board. T asks Ss what are the mistakes in these sentences. W/C FB
