Procedure (43-55 minutes)
The teacher will project a picture of depressed person on the WB and ask questions about it: " What do you think about this person? " " Is she happy or sad, what happened to her? " " She never goes out, why? " " Does she sit at home and watch TV all the time? " " She always drink alcohol, why?
After the sts tell their ideas about the depressed woman, the teacher will continue with asking following questions: "What can she do?" "What is she going to do for a better life?" "Is she going to call her mother?" "Is she going to see a doctor?" "Is she going to find a job?" "Is she going to go out?" "Is she going to visit her friends?" Yes, she is going to visit her friends.
The teacher writes some marker sentences on the board to clarify of thier meanings, forms and pronunciations. For example: "She is going to visit her friends" The teacher will ask some CCQs: - Is she doing this now? (No) - Did she do this in the past? (No) - Is she planning to do it later? (Yes) - Is she "going" somewhere? (No) Then the teacher will explain the negative and question forn of the TL.
The T will give the sts a worksheet that contents jumbled words. The sts will put the words in corect order using target language. After this, the sts will have 2 more minutes to check their answers with their partner. In the end, the T will do feedback and error correct as needed.
The sts will be given a HO that contents affirmative form of "be going to". The teacher will ask the sts to make the sentences in negative and question forms. After this, the sts will have 2 more minutes to check their answers with their partner. In the end, the T will do feedback and error correct as needed.
The T will give the students a piece of paper to have them write about their future plans for next year. After everyone finishes, the T will tell the students to exchange their writing paper and read it to WC.
