Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the T will ask Ss some questions about people-watching . For example, what do our clothes suggest about us? what do you think the people job would be? are they wealthy or poor?

Vocabulary (5-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

the T will elicit some basic vocabularies in teh text of THE PEOPLEWATCHERS. Psychology, Psychologist, Neuroscience, Neuroscientist, Bargain, Volunteer, Persuadation, Persuade,

speaking (5-10 minutes) • To provide student focuse attention on the main idea of the text

the Ss will be given a handout and they will discuss about the the first activity ex.1a pg 71.at the end of this activity ,Ss will try to find out the answer in the text of THE PEOPLEWATCHERS. 1-What do you think 'people-watching' means? 2-What professions need to be good at people-watching?why?

READING (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with detaileand deduction

the Ss will read the text and they will find the answer questions in 2a pg71. 1-Who is in Professor Wiseman's team? 2- What question does the programme answer? 3-Why did people suddenly start buying the cakes? 4-How much hair did Emma cut? 5- What is 'The foot in the door technique'?

Reading for gist (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

the Ss will read the article again and they will use heading in ex2b pg71 and they will make notes from the article. 1-People involved in the programme 2-Situation 3-Conclusion from the expriments
